Didn’t get to watch Pyrolympics. No photos kaya kuwento nalang.

Here’s the plan: meet at around four, explore the place, but some finger foods and drinks then have a picnic somewhere the CCP compound where we’ll have a really good view of the fireworks exhibition. The weather isn’t really that cooperative though. It rained pretty hard and we decided not to push through (good thing it was only my friend Kat and I, or else, it would be more difficult to give up the plan).

But I really want to go somewhere (anywhere) else and spend this night with someone. I suggested Greenbelt since the last time I went to Makati I think was about 3 years ago and because we have been planning to eat at Cibo (yes, we wanted the one at G5, to make it extra special). Yes, I’m burning my pocket (yes, not just a hole), big time.

Why Cibo? It’s only because their creamy-mushroomy-pesto pasta (insert Italian name here, hehe) is my peborit and something I consider as a comfort food. I’ve been telling her ever since to try it out since she likes pasta as much as I do. They also serve really good shrimp sandwich (insert gambaretti something here, hehe again) iced tea and free potato chips with dip for appetizer (hehe). Basically, eating there makes me feel high (due to too much carbo I guess?) *more advertisement: the other branches I’m familiar with is at Shangrila Plaza, Gateway and Trinoma* .

Alright. Despite the sudden change of plans, it’s still a special night. See, I enjoyed Greenbelt because it wasn’t crowded (or that crowded as you would usually expect on a weekend night). Kat gave me a tour of the different Greenbelt stores (haha, and with all the pa-obvious, OMG, it’s my first time to actually see-and-feel a LV chuvaness). It actually felt like I was browsing through a fashion magazine - you look, feel a sense of awe for a second then just forget what you saw afterwards. Com’on. I don’t think those would be included in my personal budget.

Oh, we were also able to watch around 30 min show of an ensemble playing some Afro-Brazillian music. I was able to record it but my connection isn’t that prepared yet to upload the large file. I’d like you to hear it though - it was very entertainingly different. You can also still drop by Greenbelt 3 (?) during weekend nights and hear them live (and dance if you’re brave enough). You know what’s fun, it’s the kind of music I imagine hearing while partying at the beach (I’m beach swimming deprived this year. I didn’t swim when we went to Subic)

I find it (the area) conducive for dating. Sabi rin nga ni Kat, bakit ba natin ngayon naiisip ito kung kelan wala tayong kadate. Some stores at G5 isn’t finished yet so it’s relatively quiet and still private. I love it. It was also fun pala to have dinner late in the evening because in our case, we were the last customers at Cibo and again, it felt more comfortable (it helps that the ambiance isn’t intimidating, haha). If you want to be with the madlang people or get a bit wild, there were a number of coffee houses and bars (and disco?). We however preferred to stay at the park benches then later on to the bridge (the passageway at the garden between G5 and G3), somewhere a bit far from the crowd. What did we do there? Sit, talk, take some pictures… and play music using our own players. It felt so intimate yet very safe. Walang pakialamanan.

Hehe, this counts as a night life right?

Disco? No-oh. Weird. Too close. With strangers. Hehe. But sometimes noise is good because it gives you ( the elf inside you) silence, even if it’s only temporary. Maybe next time. With familiar people preferably. Or maybe if I get a bit drunk the feeling similar to that of being drunk. Or maybe somewhere a lot more private… it’s a lot better.

Oh noes. The Baguio trip. As you can see, I’m having a hard time saving up for it. *Hai*. And I still haven’t informed the board of trustees about it. Sorry. But yes, I do really really want to go.. so I’ll find a way. By that time, I hope I’ll be less crazy.. or something.
